FATAL ACCIDENT ON SOUTHBOUND I-295 ON THE DELAWARE MEMORIAL BRIDGE, SATURDAY AFTERNOON

On Saturday, January 11, 2025, around 12:10 p.m., emergency responders were dispatched to the southbound lanes of I-295 on the

Delaware Memorial Bridge following reports of a motor vehicle collision involving a tractor-trailer.

Upon arrival, fire crews discovered a vehicle with severe damage and an unconscious person trapped inside.

Despite life-saving efforts by paramedics, the individual was later pronounced dead at the scene by New Castle County Paramedics.
